GOW was incorporated in January 2000 in Sydney, Australia. GOW was founded by three Banking and Finance Recruiters Andrew Gemmell, Liam Ovenden and Brendan Walsh who shared a common philosophy - to personalise the recruitment experience for clients and candidates.
In July 2004, GOW opened their Melbourne office at 101 Collins Street, Melbourne and in November of the same year they moved to 360 Collins Street, Melbourne. The opening of a Melbourne office enabled GOW to better serve and grow the Melbourne client and candidate base they had previously serviced from Sydney.
More recently GOW identified a visible niche in the IT&T and Office Support markets that would enable the Company to service a new market with the same recruitment philosophy that had seen it grow to one of the foremost Banking and Finance Recruitment Company’s in Australia. The expansion into IT&T and Office Support has been hugely successful proving that the GOW recruitment process and philosophy is transferable across markets.
In June 2007 GOW expanded into the Asia market with the opening of its Singapore office. Director Andrew Gemmell relocated to Singapore with the emphasis on building relationships with organisations within the banking and finance sector.
