An exciting opportunity has become available for an Investment Governance professional to join a highly regarded financial services organisation. Working within a collaborative and client-facing investment team, you'll play a key role in the governance, due diligence and oversight of managed funds, managed accounts and investment managers.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of investments, funds management and investment governance who enjoys working with a broad range of stakeholders across the investment industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct investment and operational due diligence on fund managers, investment advisers and managed funds.
  • Lead onboarding activities for new investment products and portfolios.
  • Prepare investment governance reports and recommendations for Investment Committee meetings.
  • Undertake ongoing monitoring of investment managers and investment products.
  • Attend and contribute to Investment Committee meetings and governance forums.
  • Liaise with investment managers, platforms, advisers and internal stakeholders on governance and product matters.
  • Review investment documentation including mandates, governance documents and disclosure material.
  • Support the continuous improvement of investment governance frameworks, policies and processes.
  • Work closely with product, operations and compliance teams to ensure successful implementation of investment decisions.
About You To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
  • 4+ years' experience within investment governance, investment due diligence, investment consulting or a related funds management environment.
  • Strong understanding of investment markets, managed funds, asset allocation and portfolio construction.
  • Experience conducting investment and/or operational due diligence.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to engage with investment managers, advisers and senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • RG146 accreditation will be viewed favourably.
