The Opportunity Reporting into senior members of the legal team, you will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of contentious matters and providing strategic legal advice to support business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on commercial disputes, litigation and investigations
- Managing regulatory matters and responding to inquiries from regulators
- Identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks
- Managing external legal providers and litigation strategy
- Supporting business stakeholders on complex legal issues and dispute resolution
- Providing practical, commercially focused legal advice
- Assisting with legal training, process improvements and knowledge sharing initiatives
- Admitted to practice in Australia with approximately 4+ years PQE
- Experience gained within a reputable law firm and/or in-house legal team
- Strong background in commercial litigation, dispute resolution or regulatory investigations
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide practical legal solutions
- Experience working within a regulated industry will be highly regarded
- Regulatory investigations and enforcement matters
- Australian Consumer Law
- Insolvency and restructuring disputes
- Construction, infrastructure or large-scale project disputes (ideal but not necessary)
