You’ll work closely with senior executives, shape risk frameworks, uplift governance capability, and lead a high-performing team in an agile environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Set the strategic roadmap for a key risk and compliance capability, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Provide expert advice to first-line teams on material business risks, regulatory obligations and compliance frameworks.
- Drive planning, prioritisation and delivery across annual and multi-year cycles.
- Coach and empower a mission team to deliver strong outcomes, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Prioritise work based on business value, risk impact and stakeholder needs.
- Build strong relationships across the business, influencing decision-makers on complex risk and compliance matters.
- Shape and enhance risk frameworks, governance processes, privacy controls and assurance activities.
- Translate complex risk issues into clear, actionable insights that support business performance.
- Provide high-quality reporting and insights to senior leaders and key stakeholders.
- Deep experience in risk management, compliance, governance or operational risk within complex or regulated industries (e.g. financial services, telco, technology, government).
- Proven leadership experience, ideally in agile or fast-paced environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to simplify and communicate complex issues.
- Ability to influence executives and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.
- A coaching-style leadership approach that lifts capability and performance.
