We’re on the lookout for a Junior Trust Accountant to join our team supporting companies with their employee share plans. If you’re a numbers person who loves keeping things organised, solving problems, and working with great people, this could be the perfect fit.
A bit about the role:
You’ll be handling the trust accounting and reporting side of things for a bunch of awesome clients. That means everything from preparing financial statements and tax docs to keeping track of trust activities and making sure everything adds up. You’ll be using tools like Xero, and you’ll work closely with different teams across the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing trust accounts and financial reporting
- Helping onboard new clients and getting their trusts set up with the ATO
- Pulling together tax info and client reports
- Supporting audits and making sure compliance boxes are ticked
- Keeping an eye on trust activity to make sure everything’s cost and tax-effective
- Juggling multiple deadlines without breaking a sweat
- 1–3 years of accounting experience (trust accounting is a bonus)
- Experience with Xero is a big plus
- A good understanding of tax and financial reporting
- Someone who’s organised, detail-focused, and good at working independently or with a team
- Great communication skills and a can-do attitude
